LETTER
It’s not only cats
At the risk of opening your letters pages up to all sorts of diatribes (again), let me add this to the ongoing debate about household pets roaming around our neighbourhoods. We’ve heard all we need about cats, both bad and good –the good being that cats protect us from dinosaurs (which the writer claims are today’s birds). That was refreshing.
What about dogs? Yes, on a leash and everything else. No doubt, pit bulls need chains and muzzles, but the worst in my view are the little yappy dogs – most not on leashes, and most that will not shut up, especially if there’s another (and bigger) dog nearby. Do these owners really think we believe they like such noisy, unclean, and nervous pets? Most of the owners I have observed share a lot with their little pests, and the sight isn’t pretty.
