Issue: “security” and fear-mongering

 

Where some might say paranoia I say ‘annoya’ : on June 17, CTV interviewed representatives of the National Council of Canadian Muslims; they have been subjected to accusations by this Conservative administration of alleged terrorist activities, of harbouring pedophiles, and on. We should pay attention to these methods of "any which way" to discredit anyone (using “the enemy” syndrome).

I myself honour my commitment in my Canadian Citizenship Oath of June 20, 1974, and my allegiance to Her Majesty. In becoming a citizen of Canada I took my oath very seriously, and during my life since that time, my family and I have represented Canada on the national and international forum to the best of my (our) abilities as an artist and as a citizen.

I will defend the democratic principles of Canada, as expected of me. Shouldn’t we all?
