How many parties are running? 

As the federal election campaign starts up, I hope the Bulletin will do more than cover the two or three main parties. I am tired of the mainstream media’s decision that no one is interested in the smaller or newer parties, and only in the two old parties who seem to represent identical basic interests, with just a few social positions separating them.  

Proportional representation would go a long way towards fixing this missing information and debate in our media (not to say in our parliament), but voter reform seems doomed with all corporate media lined up against change.  So we depend on independent media to pick up where CBC-news leaves off. PostMedia newspapers often don’t even have editorials!  What a sorry comment!
