How far does “meddling” reach?

 

In the words of one American (on CTV), the man quite realistically assessed it all as, " .. and who does not meddle in politics of others?"

Yes, it is a reality, we do it, they do it, everybody does it (Cambridge Analytica, maybe Sochi Olympics ...). Though we are the ones  who often sit on a pure white horse in all our righteousness, we pretend to be excused from such deplorableness. (We are oh-so-clean!)

Now, for an example that still bothers me, personally, let us go back about two years to the Bulletin d'Aylmer (p.4, Sept. 14, 2016) with “Retrospective exhibit launched at embassy”. The exhibition was presented in honour of Danica Betakova - Hlavina, the sole genuine sponsor of the Multiple/Multilateral Sculpture development.  (Yes, my creation, but never without her.) Yet even the Kanadsky Slovak overlooked this reality and presented the show without even mentioning Danica or the collection. (See the alternate news: “Record crowd at Slovak Constitution Day”). And only thanks to the Bulletin, the exhibition, which was a great success (record crowd), has really happened and has been documented for history’s sake!

With all the political chicanery in the world around us, I have no choice but to wonder if there was any “meddling” in recognizing Danica and her role in the most progressive development of Art and Thought (ref: Bernard P. Walke, Nov 22, 1981, Guest Book, and others)!
