Helping Ontario 

Two weeks ago, I hosted my regular “MP Townhall” on the subject of Canada’s official languages. Little did I know then that these rights would come under attack a mere 10 days later. The Doug Ford government is terribly wrong to cut back services to Franco-Ontarians. Twenty-odd years ago, a lot of us from the Outaouais took part in the protests to fight the closing of the Montfort hospital. Sadly, the situation is such that we are called once again to support our Franco-Ontario neighbours.

Official languages need to be supported in every province in Canada. This is in everyone’s best interests.
