LETTER
Healthy democracy
We can all take a moment to be proud and congratulate ourselves for our healthy local democracy. Is everything perfect? Of course not, and things can improve in our city. One would have to be pretty cynical not to rejoice in front of the packed room for the all-candidates debate last October 12th, the interesting questions asked by citizens on social networks and the numerous candidates canvassing, meeting voters on the field. No matter your own personal political choices, I warmly invited (everyone to) vote on November 5th -- our democracy depends on it. That way we will have a city council in our image, elected to make decisions that respect our priorities!
