Great Egrets at the Deschênes Rapids
August 17: Wednesdays of the Great Egret at Deschênes Rapids. A proposition of the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO). For the sixth consecutive summer, this weekly outing is to observe and count Great Egrets as they return for the night to their heronry and dormitory (on Conroy Island) in the Deschênes rapids. We’ll be at the belvedere along the cycling path. Your expert Rodolphe, with your help, will miss nothing about what’s going on. The rapids at sunset, these elegant white wading birds and the other birds on the move will give an impressive show for sure. An activity for all ages.
Rendez-vous : 6 pm at Rapides Deschênes parking (south end of Vanier road in Aylmer). We’ll stay until around 8:30. Your guide: Rodolphe Dubois (819-685-9159). For detailed information about our activities (mostly open to everyone), contact the COO our web site www.coo.qc.ca .
