Grandmothers’ Campaign, May 14

 

I am a long-time Aylmer resident and member of our local Grandmothers-to-Grandmothers group.  Grandmothers groups exist across the country, raising funds for Grandmothers in Africa who are raising their orphan grandchildren as a result of the AIDS pandemic.

We are a small, but mighty group of older women who have been raising funds for this cause for almost 10 years. In fact, this year is the 10th Anniversary of the Grandmothers campaign, as it was originally launched in March 2006.   

We begin our Spring fundraising, May 14 (with a garage sale).
