Got my voter card, now who do I vote for?

 

I got my voter card in the mail, so now I have to decide who I’m going to elect to handle my tax money the best.

 

After careful consideration of all the signs plastered on the roads and intersections, I’ve already decided to vote AGAINST the person with the most signs.  From their sign campaign I can confidently assume they have a wasteful attitude, if you consider just how much wasted paper, wood ,and ink goes into making all those signs, just to be thrown away at the end of the campaign.  

Based on all the signs, the only actual message I saw was from a party that’s offering free dental care for everyone and paid education up to the doctorate level.  Umm... Yes!  I’ll vote for that party!   I’ll vote for any party that will re-invest my tax money wisely, responsibly and transparantly into making my community healthier and smarter, because that will translate into an improved quality of life for me, my family and friends.  After all, isn’t that what we all want?   

Seriously, if I want to understand who I’m voting for and what these parties plan to do with my tax money, I’m not going to make my judgement from their blank-poster marketing, I’m not that young and naive.  The best I can think is to open the local newspaper, the Bulletin, and see what these politicians are saying to local reporters.
