Good things in small packages!

 

When I moved to this region, I remained true to my birth region and travelled to see my doctor. And one day I was given a blood test requisition … oh brother, I am terrified of this needle! Just the thought stresses me -- even more that I would have to deprive myself of my glass of wine for a few days before.

However, I was informed that certain drugstores in Aylmer offer healthcare services. I walked into the Pharmaprix with insecure steps. Wow, what an experience! And I owe it to one individual, Joanne, a tiny nurse with wonderful vitality and attentive listening skills. Joanne provides outstanding customer service. From one appointment to the next, she remembers me, my story, my anxiety, as well as our past general and personal discussions.

She succeeded in getting me to react totally differently to all these tests. Now I find myself the one suggesting blood tests to my new doctor.
