God's on their side   

 

I was surprised to hear some of the interviews on the radio or protesters in Ottawa last week. Many claimed the police actually had no right to dismantle their blockades!  One woman was shouting at the police, "You can't do this!  God told us to be here!"  Several told the journalist that they did not believe the police would act against them because the police and military support their protests.  Apparently the organizers made these claims early on, using the protesters' dark communication sites.
    In the long run, this incident might indicate more a failure of our education system than anything else. And what does it say about Canadian education when so many people believe God has intervened directly on their behalf?
