Geese in the mall's parking lot
I would like to complain about the inhumane individual who keeps removing containers of water that we provide the male and female geese that are in front of the Galeries Aylmer. These geese are protected by the Canadian Wildlife Act and the MBCA between Canada and the U.S. This week has been hotter than usual and these birds need to drink water to survive. I know a lot of people drop food, and that is probably why someone from the administration has been told to keep it clean and remove everything, everyday!
We cannot let this tragedy go on, the female laid 3 eggs almost 2 weeks ago and she needs to stay in her nesting place until they hatch. Nothing can survive without water, human, animal or birds.
Please, stop removing their water source and help them have their chicks, then they'll go away - no longer bugging whomever is responsible for taking away their water. Could you survive without water? Just let the birds do their thing, then they'll go away - it's as simple as that. I've contacted the Canadian Wildlife people and they will be looking into the situation. I can be stubborn, too, I've purchased dozens of containers from the Dollar store and I bring fresh water every day (sometimes twice) and will keep on doing it until they have their chicks and leave.
