Gatineau’s carbon tax? 

 

Has anyone in the city administration or council considered instituting a carbon tax of some sort?  The provinces are doing it, partly to embarrass our “Big Oil” federal government – why not municipalities, too?  If there are legal constraints, surely our councillors are smart enough to come up with a symbolic “tax” just to make the point. The Bulletin should push this idea.
