Gatineau Police conduct second drug raid of the week
Gatineau police made their second drug bust in a week in the Gatineau sector.
Acting on information provided by the public, task force officers in partnership with the canine unit, were able to act quickly to conduct an investigation on the afternoon of May 31. The addresses targeted in the investigation are 967 and 1044 rue St-Louis.
The search resulted in the arrest of two men aged 27 and 67, both residents of Gatineau. The men were taken into custody for questioning by investigators. They were later released under several conditions that must be respected before they return for a court appearance. They are charged with possession with intent to traffic.
Police seized:
• 665 grams of cannabis
• small quantities of cocaïne, crack and methamphetamine
• 7 electronic scales
• $250 in Canadian dollars
• drug paraphernalia
• 2 safes
