An Aylmer restaurant, Boston Pizza, was allegedly the scene of indecent acts on February 20 at around 10:30 pm. The acts apparently involved several Gatineau Olympiques hockey players who were celebrating following their 4-1 victory over Chicoutimi.
According to reports, an intoxicated and flirtatious woman along with six players participated in indecent acts in an upstairs and isolated restaurant washroom. The des Grives restaurant manager decided the situation was unacceptable and intervened. The woman apparently declined to file a complaint. Jean-Paul Lemay, spokesperson for the Gatineau police, would not confirm that the hockey players were involved, but said the force was investigating the matter.
The Hull-based hockey team and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) issued a joint statement indicating they were taking the matter seriously. An internal investigation has been launched.
When reached by the Bulletin the Boston Pizza manager preferred not to comment on the alleged incident. The Gatineau Olympiques did not return our call.
