Gardening: The secret to staying young!

 

Ed Leblanc, an active volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul, shows off his 10” pink hibiscus flowers, August 16. Mr Leblanc, who will celebrate his 81st birthday in September, is an avid gardener. He is currently making a stone patio and walkway in his backyard, where he has a koi pond and fountain, tomato garden, raspberries, roses and other flowers. He paces himself, working outside until he gets tired, then going in to rest, then returning to his garden.  “Working in the garden keeps me out of mischief,” he laughs.
