Garbage and couches along Klock Road
I went for a walk up to the end of Klock Road to the corner of Bailee. It broke my heart to see the amount of garbage, an obvious garbage bag and a full couch set among beer cans, dumped in our ditches.
Towards the end of the summer the city did a fantastic job of widening, cleaning and re-leveling our ditches -- a job well done. It is, however, sad to conclude that some people have little self-respect.
We all need to remember that actions lead to habits, and our habits frame our character. I realize that patience is something that is becoming a lost art in our world of immediacy, and that lining up at the Eco-centre can be asking too much, but, please, I implore you, start by tempering your actions, so we can, as a community, develop better habits.
