Freezing out the Ruskies?
For a number of years, we have seen Russia, and specifically president Putin, become the thorn in the side of Western politicians. To that, President Putin remarked: the West does not understand the Russian soul. And I tend to agree with him.
To bring this closer to our own understanding, I will go back to 1968, but this also applies to the deep and dark days long before.
In 1968, the Russian troops invaded Czechoslovakia, concentrating around Prague. As it happened, one of our girls got pregnant and was looking for help to end her pregnancy. Long story short, after using all sorts of ways like “freezing the embryo”, she ended at the doctor’s office.
He applied an ultrasound to her belly and soon after, he began to laugh. “What is so funny?” asked the girl. The doctor explained, “I hear sounds as if somebody was jumping up and down and then I also hear in my stethoscope: ‘I am the Russian kind; I will never freeze!’"
Do I need to explain more? I have some of the same blood in me, so I know. And now you all know.
