Freedom to do what, exactly?

 

A few people have claimed that the occupation of Ottawa was "just a big party .... a big celebration", even in a couple of letters on these pages. I don't understand. What were they celebrating? "Freedom" is their big word. So, was the freedom convoy celebrating having the freedom to travel to the capital and have a wild party on the streets for week after week? They couldn't do that in most other "unfree" places, like Great Britain and the USA. The police played a game of patience; did Trudeau not hammer them right away, just to prove how "free" we are in Canada?  
    Their next freedom to celebrate will be the freedom to blame Trudeau or Bill Gates for the take-down in the occupation?  Will Candice Bergen also be "free" to lead the Conservatives in blaming Trudeau's "arrogance" in refusing to negotiate -- with people holding "F*ck Trudeau" signs?
    I'm comforted that no one from Aylmer went over for the occupation .... not a soul.
