-"Free market" - just step over the consequences?
In response to Ronald Lefebvre's letter "Free Market: Democracy in Action", I can only assume he is ecstatic, proud - along with the 18% of eligible voters who have created a Conservative majority in our neighbouring province. After all, this was democracy in action, just in another form, according to him.
Likewise, we may assume in what he explained in the “glory of the free-market”, that if Ottawa Paramedics across the river have reached "Code zero" with no available ambulances 576 times this year, it was imply a matter of choice of citizens in the free market economy.
In other words, following Mr. Lefebvre, you have the "choice" to look after your own health.
But being granted freedom in interpretation of Mr. Kosovan, and seeing the Doug Ford legacy next door, it seems he may ultimately suggest something like, “that if you have to step over the corpses of your neighbours' health choices to reach the glory of the free-market, so be it!"
Mr Lefebvre, I disagree.
