Finally, a med school here!

 

So, after years of everybody trying to get a medical training facility here in the Outaouais, when we finally do get one, Mr Perrault is unhappy with it. Of course he is! He’s always unhappy! Once a month, it seems, you run a letter from him fulminating against anything and everything, just add the word “anglais”.

Does he disagree with math?  He says the instruction will be about 10% in English. And what’s the percentage of anglophones they will be serving in Quebec? About 10%?  

Does he disagree with universal health-care? He has said that the linguistic environment of any health-care worker is more important than the professional skills, medications, facilities, and so forth?  The patient means nothing, according to Mr Perreault, the language the patient uses is the most important part of our health-care system.  If you cannot speak French, you deserve no health-care, according to him.

This isn’t just stupid, it’s misanthropic.  Does he have a hate on for humanity in general?
