Exploring the Ottawa River, December 7
December 7, Explorations along Ottawa River – an invitation from the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO). Many kinds of birds are on the river at this time of year and we’ll set up our tripods and telescopes to track them down. After Parc Brébeuf, we’ll go to Champlain Bridge (Bates Island) and Deschênes rapids. Maybe we’ll encounter Iceland Gull, Barrow’s Goldeneye or even Harlequin Duck?
Rendez-vous: 10am in Parc Brébeuf, Bégin Street, Hull. Parking available on nearby streets. Car pooling can be organized at this point.
Suggestions: warm clothes, hot beverage, binoculars. Duration: the morning. Your hosts: Martin Aubé (819-772-2504) Martin.aube70@gmail.com and Daniel Toussaint danieltoussaint@videotron.ca. For information about our activities (mostly open to everyone), visit our web site www.coo.qc.ca
