Entre Nous to expand centre and services

Centre Communautaire Entre Nous offers daily activities for all ages, Monday to Friday, year-round. They offer cooking programs for children, an after school club for girls, new parent groups and services, affordable summer day camps, seniors groups and more. The community centre operates all of these programs and activities with a staff of three employees.

The Ministère de la Famille recently awarded Entre Nous a grant of $72,916. Emmanuelle Beaudry, Coordinator of Entre Nous, is looking forward to expanding the services offered “so that Monday to Friday, every hour will be filled with activities”. In conjunction with Avenue des Jeunes, Beaudry says “there will be activities offered five or six nights a week for adolescents.” They are planning an expansion project to enlarge their current space and Beaudry says she plans to hire another employee to manage projects for children aged 0-12 years and focus her attentions on new projects for the other age groups.

Entre Nous will be having their annual general meeting on June 20 at 6:30 pm, at 175 Front Street.
