 Electric cars

 

There is no need to be vindictive on the subject ( in reply to your recent editorial on this subject). Any individual who is concerned about the air he or she breathes should be interested in the air pollution caused by gasoline or diesel vehicles because the micro-particles that these vehicles release into the ambient air are the main cause of cancers in humans. Indeed, we breathe daily these micro-particles suspended in the air, they enter our lungs and infiltrate our blood system and cause the deterioration of our vital organs, lungs, heart, liver, stomach, breast, bladder, uterus, prostate, etc. Who has not, at least once in his life, received a black puff of diesel fumes to understand that the co2 emitted by gasoline vehicles is just as damaging to our health even if it is invisible and does not emit any smell.
    In Quebec, last year, more pickup trucks and Sport Utility Vehicles were sold than regular cars; and the price of these vehicles is as much if not higher than the majority of electric cars on the market today, and their level of air pollution is among the highest. I invite you to read the article by Dr. François Reeves, Quebec cardiologist, on this subject, under the title "Health and the Environment" pages 44 to 52, in the book entitled "L'auto électrique et plus" published by Éditions de l'homme (2018).
