Eating out
Last Friday, I took my sister to a well-established restaurant in Chelsea to celebrate her birthday. Our reservations were for six o’clock. We were seated in a quiet corner of the restaurant. As the evening progressed, more people arrived, namely two couples who sat at the table next to ours. They were so loud that I could not wait for their appetizers to arrive so they would start eating and stop talking.
I don’t eat out a lot but when I do, I am not interested in knowing the entire life story of the person sitting next to me.
Whether you are eating at a fancy restaurant, a family restaurant, or at a fast-food place, for that matter, people should lower their voices (you are in a public place, people; you are not sitting at your kitchen table!) so that everyone can enjoy a pleasant dining experience.
