Double hit & run between Lower & Upper Aylmer Roads

 

On Thursday afternoon, August 6, around 1:15, a dark sedan tore up from the inside left turn lane of the Champlain Bridge smacking into a 1997 dark green 2-door Toyota RAV4 turning left from the centre lane onto the Lower Aylmer/ Lucerne Road.

Instead of stopping, the speeding car accelerated northeast bound across several lanes ramming the front passenger fender of a beige 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, and sped off.

If you know or heard of any information regarding this double hit and run, or of the aforementioned vehicle which needed repair/ body work for its front end,  please contact the Gatineau Police @( 819) 246-0222 and quote File #15-40671 with attention to Officer Mathieu Gauthier.

If any of this information leads to a conviction, a nominal reward will be provided.
