Don’t do as we do . . .
We hear talk about leaving this planet and colonizing Mars. Wasn’t there once speculation that the human species came from there? Mars: been there ... done that!
This is good and at the same time bad thinking (duoset again). The Indigenous peoples dealt with keeping two opposite forces in balance – that is the “duoset” (a dynamic concept I developed in my sculpture which keeps two opposing viewpoints in balance). As humanity increased the drive for riches, the population and opportunities grew, and the equilibrium of good and bad got disturbed; we got infected and it is catchy.
Tell me how can we with a straight face tell the Brazilian poor, “Do not burn the Amazon Forest, stay poor - we need the oxygen for our own survival!” (Selfish us!) Who are we to dictate to the world? We have lessons for China, Russia, Iran, Europe, USA ...and all the rest, including any tribes. However, have we done something remarkable, like eliminate our homelessness, veterans included. And so on...
Time to think about all living beings, and that is our Planet Earth! This is not a religion, just necessity.
