Spring flood
Distribution of food donations and personal hygiene and cleaning products to disaster victims
The distribution of food donations and products to disaster victims will take place on Saturday, May 25, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Disaster victims in the Aylmer area will be able to obtain a basket by going to the main door of the Food Centre, located at 67 rue Couvent, to register, and distribution will be done at the same location.
The help baskets are composed of perishable and non-perishable food, a cleaning kit and personal hygiene products, as well as a voucher for clothing at the various points of service of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. A grocery gift card, varying in amount depending on the number of people in the household, is also included.
The city would like to thank the residents who contributed enormously during the fundraising events, which enabled Moisson Outaouais to collect a total of 18,468 kg of non-perishable food, cleaning and personal hygiene products. These donations represent a value of more than $105,200. 10,432 kg of clothing was also collected.
To obtain their basket, flood victims must present themselves with proof of residence such as their driver’s license or other photo identification.
