Different election reforms needed 

For anyone who thinks that elections are a waste of time, I want to suggest to all your readers that they are a waste of money, rather. That does not mean that the election process itself is a waste, although it is very expensive and I am always annoyed to learn of politicians who quit because they lost an election, causing taxpayers even more money to elect another seat-warmer – our former premier, for example, Couillard, left us with over a million dollar bill because he lost and it is beneath him to sit as a regular member of the National Assembly. 

And with the talk today about politicians not playing by the rules with their big data – the information their parties gather on all the voters – why not also obligate them to fulfil their mandate if they run and are elected? Couillard, for example, gets the million dollar bill – but I would like to see the political party get stuck with the bill. Parties are anti-democratic forces, so why give them the slightest free pass as they work to manipulate our future?

Why, in our society, do the big shots and the wealthy get the free pass, while we, the ordinary taxpayers, get handed every bill?  “Oh, the government will pay”:  Canada’s national motto.  Sorry, but I am angry.
