Des Allumetières/de la Fabrique Streets Development update

 

Further to the article published June 28 about a proposed new pharmacy at this intersection, Gatineau council denied the request for a pharmacy during a unanimous vote, July 4 at the regular city council meeting. The earlier plan for this site includes a gas station and commercial space and sources tell the Bulletin that the gas station is back on the table for this intersection. While the Bulletin was unable to speak with the property developer at the time of the June article publication, about the plans for the site, those who support the pharmacy plan indicate the traffic problem will increase with the construction of a gas station. A full updated article is in the works at press time and will be published in August.
