Demonstrate at MP & MNA offices?

 

Now that the Ottawa Riverkeeper has finally released its study on the radioactive waste dump upstream on the Ottawa River – and it is a severely damning report – and, I hear, the Vancouver-based David Suzuki Foundation is also looking at the proposal, isn’t it time we hear from our own supposed local leaders?  I am referring to our MPs and MNAs. Their near-silence is deafening – does it shows us “where the money is”? I am so surprised to see the Liberal Party supporting a Harper-privatized initiative that started this incredible stupidity.

Unless we get some bravery from these leaders, I suggest we take the issue to them. Demonstrations in front of their offices – MP Will Amos and MP Greg Fergus, plus MNA André Fortin – might wake them up.

This toxic dump must be part of the coming elections!
