Daycare operator convicted of assault on toddler in her care
A Gatineau judge found Tracy Lee Wesley guilty February 13 of assaulting a two-year-old girl at Wesley's home daycare in November 2016.
At the time, the girl and her four-year-old sister were both being looked after at the government-subsidized daycare, called Tracy's Tots. The siblings were two of six children under Wesley’s care during weekdays. Both girls had been placed in Wesley's daycare three months before November 28, 2016, when the incident occurred.
The girls and their family are not being named due to a court-ordered publication ban to protect their identities.
