Creating social vacuums, filling them with greed

 

Amongst the turmoil which is overtaking our world leaders' political and economical minds, there are similarities to 40 years back.

Then, in the Eastern Bloc countries, the dirty work of their regimes was coming to fruition. It was also the time when the so-called socialistå (communist) political leaders got a taste of financial gains by individuals, and the result was the fall of the Eastern Bloc countries, to the delight and with the support of the grand masters of "Reaganomics". Also affected was the vision of our West, changing it to a vision of greed, bringing us to where we stand now. And now we have at the helm three players, Presidents Trump, Xi and Putin.

President Putin pointed to the vacuum in the Middle East, and ISIS was born; President Xi learned from the fall of Soviet Empire, and propelled China to become an economic powerhouse, while President Trump is following his own ambitions.

These leaders ignored the question of what to do with the vacuum in the former Eastern Bloc countries. That surfaced finally with the murder of Slovak investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancé.

Our question, which deserves to be answered:  When did we accept Greed as a new form of God?
