Council faces two Aylmer issues
City Council’s Executive Committee will likely approve two Aylmer items, April 26. They will then be voted on at the next full council meeting at city hall in Hull, May 16. Councillor Josée Lacasse has proposed reviewing the Centre d’action bénévole “Acces” / Volunteer Action Centre’s exemption from property taxes. The centre is a non-profit community organization designed to improve the quality of life for seniors and other persons in need through a variety of services, such as transportation. Centre “Acces” is located at 67 rue Principale (819-684-2242).
The other item on the agenda is discussion of a $14,600 grant to the Marché du Vieux Aylmer (Old Aylmer Market) for its 2017 activities.
