LETTER
Congratulations to the Bulletin
Congratulations to the team at the Bulletin d’Aylmer for the awards you won recently. Clearly, you Bulletin folks are on the right track. Just looking at the last few weeks, I read about upcoming festivals including both Outaouais en fête and a Canada Day parade! What a balanced yet dynamic place is Aylmer: we celebrate so much. You covered a fundraiser for flood victims, there was news about what Gatineau is changing in Aylmer, with their zoning changes and even a chalk festival? Wow.
The way I see it, the community is stronger and more active in part from having an engaged weekly newspaper. And then, as a result, the Bulletin itself has more to cover.
No wonder you won awards for your opinion pages – I love reading the letters, everyone reads them first.
The only squabble I have is that, in the last paper, you published judges’ comments about your awards – but who can read them? I want to know what the judges say about our local paper. Where can I read these?
