LETTER
Congrats to the Bulletin – again!
If the Community Newspapers Awards were a cluster of events in the Olympics, the Bulletin d’Aylmer (along with sister publications West Quebec Post and the Pontiac Journal) would have won gold, silver, and bronze medals several times in a number of categories! Congratulations to Lily, Sophia and everyone else connected to the award-winning staffs of these three local newspapers in which the Ryan sisters are production leaders. Though he is semi-retired now (and not mentioned in the newspaper awards article), I am sure that (father) Fred Ryan continues to have a hand in laying the groundwork for the high quality of these publications.
I knew that the Best of Aylmer was a winning concept when it was first introduced in 2012. It certainly is a galvanizing force that gets the people of Aylmer involved with local businesses. I realize that the Bulletin is a free weekly publication, but it is such a good newspaper that, if it suddenly changed to paid subscriptions, I would definitely pay to read it.
