Cold War Warriors are back!

 

Just a few decades ago there was a lot of criticism levelled at the world's "Cold War Warriors"  who wanted to see a confrontation with the Soviet Union, no matter the cost. Outside of the USA they were condemned for their foolishness. Yet today they seem in the driver's seat of the West's politics and media over Ukraine.  What happened?  Why is a possible nuclear war no longer to be avoided?  
    If you think this is extreme on my part, tell me then why our modern Cold War Warriors are dying to confront Russia at any cost -- billions in arms shipped to the Ukraine -- while they have been telling the world that we must not get involved in similar wars in Yemen, Syria, Palestine, and elsewhere?   They won't attack Saudi Arabia or Israel, only Russia?
