City rinks: What a shame! 

I read in the Bulletin a few weeks ago about the poor ice conditions on outdoor rinks in Aylmer – being a waste of taxpayers’ money.  I just came back from a little skate a few minutes ago. It’s Saturday, 2 pm, sunny and -7C ... and yes, I tend to agree. What a waste of taxpayers’ money when nobody is using this nice ice surface. Why even bother making a rink?

Back in the ‘70s there would have been so many people on that rink that you wouldn’t  have been able to see the ice surface. I know, I was there every day.
