Gatineau is preparing to sell multiple properties in Aylmer during a public auction at City Hall, June 18, to satisfy the payment of property tax with interest, penalties and costs, unless the taxes and costs are paid in full before the auction.
Of hundreds of delinquent properties across the city, several are on Pink, Eardley, and Cook Roads in North Aylmer. Several Cook Road sites on the auction sheet are sprawling properties already cut up for development just south of Pink Road and east of Scholle Road. These are significant holdings in an undeveloped neighbourhood, but there are also some in the more urban areas. In Old Aylmer, some are south of Allumettières on Brook, du Patrimoine and Jubilee streets.
In previous years the city has advertised the properties up for sale, with complete descriptions. Short of this, call 3-1-1.
