Citizen of the Year award goes to Reynald Labelle!
The Aylmer Civitan Club announced Reynald Labelle as the Citizen of the Year at their 39th annual Dinner Dance. The presentation was made on April 1 at the Aydelu Centre. Mr Labelle was instrumental in his work with the Aylmer Food Bank as well as other areas in the community.
The Citizen of the Year annual award could not be successful without the recognition of the people of Aylmer. “We sincerely ask folks to consider the good people they know in the community,” said Civitan Club president Mary-Ann Latimer. “Get a nomination form from any club member, and write up and submit your nominations.”
She went on to explain that candidates should demonstrate qualities of good citizenship, perform unselfish services (over the years) to improve the quality of life for the greater Aylmer community, and show a wide range of interests and
involvement in community affairs. “The person who is chosen is a role model for us all. We hold them up to acknowledge their contributions. There is no shortage of wonderful and dedicated community members in Aylmer,” she added.
The forms must be completed and nominations returned by about mid-March each year to the Civitan Club at CP 246, Gatineau, QC, J9H 5E6.
