Circle of Friends scholarship drive

 

Just a short "Thank You" to everyone who came out on Saturday, May 14, at St. Medard's Church, in support of the youth in our community! "The Minute To Win It, Family & Friends Game Night", fund-raising event brought in $1,947, thanks to donations from our local businesses and the community. A special thanks to the Circle of Friends’ “Power Team” for their organizational skills, patience and support, to local businesses for providing gifts and also to the Bulletin d’Aylmer team and RAWQ for their continuous support.

Congratulations to the First Place winners, The Beaudoin Bunch,  Second Place, Rotary Club and Third Prize Winner, The Kitchen Witches.

All the cash prize winners and the Rotary Club 50/50 Winner donated back their money to the scholarship fund.  

So far, we have raised $3,197 towards  our $10,000 goal.  Five local students will receive a $2,000 scholarship.  Host your own backyard BBQ, Wine & Cheese, Zumba Dance Night, or Tacos and Salsa Evening! Every $100 raised buys you a vote as to who receives a scholarship.  The Community will vote.
