Centraide launches flood support fund 

Centraide Outaouais has set up a fund dedicated to supporting agencies that help flood victims. 

 

This is an aid measure, modeled on its SOS Tornado Initiative, which succeeded in raising $262,000 to help victims of the tornadoes at the end of 2018.  These funds should help support victims until 2020. The fund plans to invest the funds accumulated by the donations in food aid, field work, psychosocial support and disaster relief.

 

The first major donation was made by the Ed Brunet Foundation, which donated $15,000 to directly assist organizations facing major challenges to help the affected population in affected communities.
