Candidates must explain . . .

 

As a resident of Aylmer (not Gatineau) for over 15 years, I have witnessed the increased housing/condo developments (how many more senior condo complexes do we really need!), decreasing green space, and limited police presence (except the patrol cars which disregard citizen safety by racing up chemin Aylmer to ticket people for being in the wrong lanes!), the closing of local or family-run businesses, and the ever-growing traffic on both Ch. Aylmer and Lucerne due to lack of infrastructure support (a bike lane is not helping, Mr Bégin!). Have any of your readers also witnessed these changes? Before we all vote on November 5, I suggest we hold our city councillors accountable for some well needed changes in our fair city of Aylmer.  Promises only go so far.
