Canadian Road Cycling Championship returns to Aylmer for a second year

The 2017 Global Relay Canadian Road Championships will return to Aylmer June 24-28. Last year’s event was a big success with the Canadian Olympic Officials who were on hand to announce the members of the Olympic cycling team for the Rio Olympics. The 2016 races were a great success and cause of much excitement within the community.

In conjunction with the Criterium Championship held on the final day, The British Hotel in Aylmer will be hosting the British Grand Prix - Corporate Relay Bike Race on June 28 at 5 pm. That event is held in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and to raise awareness around type 1 diabetes. It costs $1,000 to register a team of 4 (2 men and 2 women). They will race on the same course that the Elite racers will use later that evening. Registered teams will receive a post-race celebratory dinner and drinks while enjoying the race from the British VIP Tent. There will be an awards ceremony and live music in the courtyard of the British for all to enjoy.
