Territory Development Fund open for submissions
Allyson Beauregard
Pontiac non-profit organizations and municipalities that have growth-generating projects can apply for funding from the MRC Pontiac's Territory Development Fund's (FDT) project support program. The call for projects began June 9.
The FDT is the result of an agreement between the MRC Pontiac and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy (MAMOT). Its purpose is to finance development projects that advance the MRC’s targeted priorities for local and regional development in various sectors such as agriculture, forestry, tourism, trade and services, socio-community, culture and heritage. Job creation and maintenance as well as the revitalization of living environments are the FDT’s objectives.
Municipal organizations, First Nation band councils, cooperatives, and non-profit organizations are all eligible to apply.
The deadline for applications is August 28, 2017 at 4 pm. More information is available on the MRC Pontiac's website under “programs”.
