Boucher Forest comes to the big screen
On September 9, the Boucher Forest Foundation will throw open its doors – in the cinema in Galeries Aylmer. Highlight of the free evening will be a short film by Patrick Haag travelling along the Forest’s trails, and from the air via drone, exemplifying the Forest’s beauty and remarkable bio-diversity.
Following the film, tree specialist Suzanne Hardy will outline the benefits of mature trees in easing the negative effects of urbanization.
The Foundation’s general manager, Marianne Strauss, told the Bulletin the best way for citizens to celebrate the Forest Foundation’s 10th anniversary – and learn a little of the treasures in their own literal backyards – is to go for a walk in the forest, just above Blvd des Allumettieres, and take in the evening at the cinema this Saturday. The film runs from 7 pm to 9 pm, with free admission.
