Bollards everywhere

 

Has Gatineau Council gone bollard crazy? If bollards are used for the safety of children, an overuse will do just the opposite. It is a parent’s duty to teach their young ones to look twice up and down streets before crossing. This over-saturation of bollards is just making the youth irresponsible.

So, Council, a good deal more caution is needed when approving the use of bollards on our streets. Bollards are used for safety -- not to create dangerous driving conditions!
