Blessing of the Animals

The Blessing of the Animals service on October 2 at the Christ Church in Aylmer attracted many church-goers and pets at the Sunday service.

The Blessing of the Animals is often held in the first week of October because St Francis of Assisi's feast day is October 4. He was the patron saint of animals.
