Birds: Peregrine Falcons & Lake Leamy
April 29. Peregrine Falcon’s nesting sites between Quyon and Gatineau. The Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO) will visit three or four well-known nesting sites in Gatineau and on the Eardley escarpment. Some falcons will be on the nest! Discussion around identification and ecology of this bird of prey which has had a conspicuous comeback within our avifauna. We’ll also watch forest and field species found all along the run.
Rendez-vous: 8 pm in the Canadian Tire parking lot, de la Carrière Boulevard, Hull sector. Your guide, Carl Savignac, (csdendroica@ gmail.com) is a Peregrine Falcon expert in Canada. We speak English.
