Bird-watching at the Museum of Nature
February 27: Feeders of the Museum of Nature (Natural Heritage campus at 1740 Pink Road in Aylmer/Hull).
An offering of the Club des ornithologues de l’Outaouais (COO): discover the birds that frequent the feeding stations regularly in winter. A perfect outing for families. Learn to identify common birds -- woodpeckers (Downy, Hairy), Black-capped Chickadees, White-breasted Nuthatches, Northern Juncos, American Goldfinches. Dress warmly and pay attention to gloves and boots. Bring your binoculars and camera.
Rendez-vous: 10 am in the parking lot at the end of Auguste-Mondoux Street. We’ll be heading toward the Museum’s feeder stations. Estimated duration: two hours. Your host : Stefan Haag (819-682-0766).
